Ethiopian Diaspora Associations Coalition calls on the Diaspora community to stand by the government and work for the country to overcome its complex problems.
Ethiopians living abroad have been supporting their country at various times. They are contributing. The role of the Diaspora, especially the Renaissance Dam, is commendable, the Coalition of Ethiopian Diaspora Associations said in a statement on current affairs in the country.
Coalition Chairperson Sosna Wegayehu called on all of us to do our part to overcome the challenges facing Ethiopia. He said the Diaspora is contributing to the country in various ways. He said the threat to the country's survival is being felt in the economy.
To prevent this, he said, the Diaspora should send money to friends and relatives through legal channels. According to Sosna, the Diaspora is providing financial support to the survival campaign. Therefore, he said, those who want to support the current affairs of their country financially will benefit their country only if they deposit it in government-sponsored fundraisers.
He said the countries that have collapsed and suffered severe economic losses are due to internal problems.
However, there is an Egyptian conspiracy to aggravate this internal crisis, clash with neighboring countries and prevent Ethiopia from gaining support, said the Diaspora Diaspora Council Secretary and Member of the Coalition, Musa Shekur. In particular, the Diaspora is called upon to fulfill their national responsibilities by using different languages to explain the reality of the country and their proximity to the issue.
