9 suspects have been arrested for stealing 3 Sinotrac vehicles Addis Ababa: August 15, 2014 (FBC)

 Nine suspects who stole 3 Sinotrac vehicles worth more than 7 million birr have been arrested, Addis Ababa Police said.

 The incident took place at the Charger General Business Private Limited in Ayat Square, Yeka Sub-City. Addis Ababa police said they had confirmed that the suspects had arrived a week before the crime, saying the company was interested in selling four Sinotrac vehicles. 

On July 22, 2013, at around 11:00 a.m., the suspects came to the organization and abducted the security guards of the facility and told them that they were members of the intelligence and security forces.

 Addis Ababa Police said that three Sinotrac vehicles worth 7.8 million birr disappeared out of the four parked cars.

 After receiving a report of the crime, the police seized two Sinotrac vehicles and sold one for 860,000 birr, according to police. 

According to information received from the Addis Ababa Police Commission, nine suspects have been arrested and are being investigated in connection with the case.
