A community-wide sports event in support of the Defense Forces is to be held in the Southern Region

 A community-based sports activity in support of the government and the National Defense Forces will be held in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People's Region. 

Regional Sports Commission Commissioner, Shiwas Alemu, said blood donations and financial support will be provided in various parts of the state, including community-based sports activities in support of the government and the Defense Forces.

 The support program will be held in the presence of senior officials of Gamo and Silte Zone and various sections of the society on August 9, 2013.

 It is also said to be taking place in Wolayita, Dawro Zones, Yem Special Woreda and other areas.

 According to information received from the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People's Region's Office of Communication Affairs, the program is expected to provide significant support to the government and the Defense Forces.
