The heads of state of Oromia, Gambella and Benishangul-Gumuz discussed common issues Addis Ababa: August 15, 2014 (FBC) 

The heads of state of Oromia, Gambella and Benishangul-Gumuz have discussed joint development and security issues. 

During the meeting, it was stated that the three regions are working to strengthen the destruction of the people in western Ethiopia, ensure joint development and security and have started to register encouraging changes so far.

 It was also assessed that a number of development projects have been carried out that will ensure the benefit of the people and that relative security improvements are taking place. Work is underway to strengthen the ongoing efforts in this regard. On the other hand, Addisu Arega,

 head of the social cluster in Oromia State, said the leaders discussed the current situation in the country and the security situation in western Ethiopia in collaboration with the federal security forces. 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner of the Federal Police Commission Melaku Fanta and other state and federal government security officials.
